Reading NHL odds
The moneyline is who wins. The puck line is hockey's spread, almost always 1.5 goals: the favourite at −1.5 has to win by two or more. Totals are usually set at 5.5, 6 or 6.5 goals.
The starting goalie moves hockey prices more than almost any other news, so check the game page close to puck drop.
The NHL season
The regular season runs from October to mid-April: 82 games per team, then four best-of-seven playoff rounds for the Stanley Cup.
Forecasts, not promises
A team at 65% still loses about one game in three. SportLark shows scores, odds and model forecasts for information only. It does not take bets or handle money. If you bet elsewhere, you must be 21+ (or the legal age where you are) and betting must be legal where you live. If gambling stops being fun, call 1-800-GAMBLER.
