SportLark’s picks are for information and entertainment, not betting advice. We don’t take bets. If you bet anywhere, keep it fun, keep it small, and stop when it isn’t.

Betting content on SportLark (picks, odds and lines) is for adults 21 and over, or the legal betting age where you are if it is higher. Only bet where sports betting is legal for you.

What our picks are, and aren't

  • They are forecasts from our statistical models: our best estimate of how likely something is, compared with the market’s price.
  • They are not advice, tips to follow, or a guarantee. Even a strong pick loses often, and every model has losing runs.
  • We show our results honestly, wins and losses, so you can judge the models for yourself.
  • SportLark has no stake in whether you bet. We don’t earn anything when you do.

Keep it a game

  • Decide a budget you can afford to lose before you start, and stick to it.
  • Never chase losses or bet to win money back.
  • Set a time limit, and take breaks.
  • Don’t bet when you’re upset, stressed or have been drinking.
  • Never borrow, or use money meant for bills, to bet.

Signs it may be a problem

  • Betting more, or more often, than you meant to.
  • Hiding betting from people close to you, or feeling guilty about it.
  • Chasing losses, or feeling restless when you try to stop.
  • Betting affecting your money, work, sleep or relationships.

If any of these sound familiar, talking to someone helps. Call or text 1-800-GAMBLER, or visit the National Council on Problem Gambling.

Tools that help

  • Every licensed betting operator must offer deposit limits, time-outs and self-exclusion. Use them.
  • Many states run a self-exclusion list that covers every licensed operator in the state.
  • Blocking software can keep betting sites and apps off your devices.
  • Gamblers Anonymous runs free meetings, in person and online: gamblersanonymous.org.

If SportLark’s picks themselves are a trigger, you can simply not open the Picks tab; scores, games and standings work without it. See also our Terms of Use.
